About Sun YiHui

In 1988, Sun was born in a small town of Fu Jian province in China. He came to Shanghai in 2005 and found his interest in photography with a small Nikon digital camera. He was a self-taught photographer before he joined Elephoto in 2009. He was fascinated by the city while wandering in the streets capturing the everyday life of the people in Shanghai.

After becoming a professional photographer, he chose to focus on still life photography, and especially in food. Although still young in the industry, his refreshing lighting, modern composition and delicious colour treatment has gained him clients such as McDonald’s, Parker, Adidas, Pizza Hut and editorials for China’s major fashion and life style magazines such as ELLE Decor, AD, and Lohas.

Sun is determined to become Shanghai’s leading still life photographer.
