Together with ITI Neovision we rebranded a Russian cinematography channel – War And Peace.
Client’s contacted the Agency based on experience gathered before on rebranding of nFilmHD Movie Channels (ITI Neovision Group). This time, the brief applied to create the communication concept for the program cycle of “Russian Cinema presents” – meaning suggestions for the channel’s Corporate Identity and presentation of a program schedule.
While starting the work on the campaign, we set a specific objective for ourselves – for the communication to crack the stereotype of Russian cinematography as being dull & unfunny.
We didn’t want to make a spot composed of a bunch of scenes simply copied and pasted from Russian movies – rather to create a proposition out of a broad array of insights taken from both films & Russian culture. Therefore, we have worked on designing scenarios of spots on the basis of original films from every possible category: romance, drama as well as action genre. In each of the shooting scene, one can easily grasp original elements of Russian culture – from the building of central station in CGI, through Cyrillic alphabet, underground, army outfits dated back to Afghanistan war, ending with kalashnikov rifle.
The end result was a hi-quality universal TVC, which wasn’t designated to a particular part of the year. On top of this elements like channel logo, sponsoring bars, line up and visualizations of advertising pieces as well as festivals edition were prepared. The Agency was responsible for production of all creative materials.
